3D Performance Training is a dynamic combination of the best Sports Medicine and Elite training systems available in Northwest Arkansas. Coach Tug has a Master’s degree from the University of Arkansas in Exercise Physiology and was a graduate assistant in the strength and conditioning department. He is currently consulting with Arkansas’strength and conditioning program for football.

We utilize a 3Dimensional training philosophy ensuring that each athlete is challenged in a truly functional environment. A functional program must be multi-planar, multi-joint, multi-dimensional, proprioceptively demanding, and activity specific. The scope of training should resemble the imposed demands of the sport in which the athlete will compete, creating a clear vision and direction for each athlete’s personal goals. This not only a supervised, guided training system, it is an educational experience for our clients.

We want each athlete to learn enough about their own capabilities and biomechanical structure to become smarter, healthier and more efficient. It is our goal to develop the full 3D athlete and prepare them for a productive life of competition. Results are always guaranteed. It is our goal to give each person that comes through our door exactly what they need to maximize their potential. Remember, “YOU” are the ultimate measuring stick. If you are raising your own level of performance then we are doing our job.

WHAT TO EXPECT :

Each athlete will complete a performance profile which provides a snapshot of his or her current level of strength, balance, agility, speed, power, and flexibility. Once the numbers have been reviewed and matched with short and long term goals, a program will be designed specifically to meet those goals. Each session will cover a dynamic warmup, power core training, quickness & agility, explosive movement development, functional strength, abdominal & back stability, and 3dimensional flexibility.

Basic nutritional awareness will also be discussed. We keep our nutritional advice very simple making sure that the athlete is getting the proper amount of productive/ healthy calories, adequate hydration, and sufficient regeneration/ recovery time between workouts or competition. Detailed meal programs are not part of the program, but can be acquired through a sports nutritionist. Proper training and healthy, natural eating will get you anywhere you want to go.

In some cases multivitamins, meal replacement shakes, or protein shakes are recommended, but cost considerations and lack of long term health effects lead us to believe that our bodies do not necessarily need to be loaded up with performance enhancing supplementation. The 3D way is high-powered and drug-free!
